LD 拿到的offer，虽然是州政府的full time, 有关福利看来不好，不如以前想象的，
请看以下的说明，本来政府工作工资就低（比现在低30%），每年还要交10%左右的养
老金，除了稳定一点，看来这个offer 就是鸡肋。

employees. This is an important benefit since your employment with DOT is
not covered employment for the purpose of earning Social Security Credit.

the upside is that you are guaranteed to receive money from the government
after you retire, in addition to social security. If you work for a private
firm, you usually don't have retirement benefits, except for 401k or maybe
some pension.

haha. I know what state are you in. you don't pay ssn. that is a lot of
money. all the money you contribute goes directly to your own retirement
acct. that is a good thing IMO.
