布林肯访华后，外媒最关注的果然是这点！

当地时间19日，美国总统拜登就美国国务卿布林肯访华一事进行回应称，他认为中美关系“正走在正确道路上”（on the "right trail"）。

当记者问“是否认为布林肯此行取得进展”时，拜登称布林肯“做了非常多的工作”，此行也“取得了进展”。

对于布林肯此次访华，美国国务院发言人马修·米勒在一份声明中表示，美国国务卿的一系列举措为的是，减少误解和误判的风险（to reduce the risk of misperception and miscalculation）。

作为拜登政府首位访问中国的美国国务卿，布林肯此行毫无疑问引起了西方媒体的高度关注。

Both sides, the senior State Department officials said, were "exceptionally well-prepared" and had a "real conversation." 

US officials and analysts expect Blinken’s visit will pave the way for more bilateral meetings in coming months, including possible trips by Treasury secretary Janet Yellen and commerce secretary Gina Raimondo.

Brendon O'Connor from the University of Sydney said the US has a lot to do to repair relations with China, including "a lot more lines of communication being opened up".

…US and Chinese officials both emphasized their desire for stable and predictable relations, but China was clear it regards Taiwan as the most important issue and greatest risk.
