美国总统气候问题特使约翰·克里（John Kerry）今天会晤了中华人民共和国副主席韩正，以讨论应对气候危机的切实行动。克里特使强调，中华人民共和国和美国是全世界最大的两个温室气体排放国，没有两国的全面参与及承诺，世界就无法解决气候危机。他进一步强调，要将升温控制在1.5摄氏度以内，中华人民共和国就必须做出重大努力，减少二氧化碳以及如甲烷等非二氧化碳的排放，并为消除非法毁林的全球努力做出贡献。他还强调了在这个关键的十年以及今年11 月在迪拜（Dubai）举行第28届联合国气候变化大会（COP28）之前，所有国家都要加快行动的必要性。

U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry met today with the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Vice President Han Zheng to discuss concrete action to address the climate crisis. Secretary Kerry underscored that the world cannot solve the climate crisis without the full engagement and commitment of the PRC and the U.S., as the two largest emitters of greenhouse gases. He further stressed that limiting warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius requires significant efforts by the PRC to reduce CO2 and non CO2 emissions, such as methane, and to contribute to global efforts to eliminate illegal deforestation.  He also emphasized the need for all nations to accelerate action in this critical decade and ahead of COP28 in Dubai in November.
