The Embassy Receptionist, under the guidance and supervision of the Embassy, will be asked to welcome visitors to the Embassy and attend the citizens and customers contacting the Embassy to seek information and assistance, will be providing customer service interaction in person and by telephone. The role will include, but not limited to, the following duties:

· Reception desk – dealing with callers and visitors, managing correspondence, courier services and post;

· Assisting in administrative or other tasks assigned by the Embassy;

· Other support to the work of the Embassy, including filling out for other local staff positions, such as Interpreter/Translator where required, or preparation and participation in Embassy receptions and other events;

· Giving hand in Consulate related issues;

· Such other duties as may be required.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree;

· At least 1-3 years experience;

· Age 23-40

· Fluency in Mandarin and a good command of English, written and spoken, including capability to translate and interpret documents from Chinese to English and English to Chinese;

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

· Proven abilities to work effectively as part of a team;

· The successful candidate must have a legal entitlement to live and work in China prior to recruitment.

· Ability to maintain strict confidentially;

· Ability to work additional hours when required, having excellent computer skills, including good knowledge of office programs, and working knowledge of other applicable softwares.
