再见，Chandler Bing!丨CNN丨《卫报》
老友记里Chandler Bing的扮演者Matthew Perry去世了，听到这一消失，感觉失去了一位多年的老朋友，心里空落落的。

Matthew Perry, who starred as Chandler Bing on “Friends,” has died in an apparent drowning accident at his Los Angeles home, according to the Los Angeles Times, citing law enforcement sources.

star 作动词意思是“出演、主演”，用法为 star as.. 出演某个角色，starred as Chandler Bing on “Friends”意思是：在《老友记》中出演钱德勒这个角色。
美国文化娱乐杂志《Variety》中用了另一种表述方法：
Matthew Perry, known for playing Chandler Bing on the hit NBC sitcom “Friends,” has died, LA Times reports. He was 54.

sitcom = situation comedy 情景喜剧。
表示“某人死亡”，除了 sb has died，也可以说 sb was found dead，《Variety》里是这样写的：

foul play 指“谋杀罪行”，在体育比赛中指“犯规动作”。文中 No foul play is suspected 可以翻译成“未发现任何刑事犯罪嫌疑”。《Variety》是这样说的：

Born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, to an actor father and a journalist mother, Perry went to live with her in Ottawa, Canada, as a youngster after his parents split.
