踏实的阶梯 (The Stone Steps of Reassurance)

晚饭后，一群法师跟着师父出了小斋堂，沿着石阶往客堂方向走，某法师边走边抱怨：“这石阶好长，爬起来好累，师父你为什么盖这石阶？”

师傅道：“这才踏实啊！”

傍晚太阳虽西沉，但美丽的月亮，却照出寂静的山和道人的生活。

After dinner, a group of mages followed their master out of the small vegetarian cafeteria and walked along the stone steps toward the guest hall. As they walked, one of the mages complained about how tired he was from climbing the long stone steps. Then he asked: “Master, why did you build such long stone steps?”

The master answered: “This is reassuring!”

Although the sun had set, the beautiful moon still illuminated the silent mountains and the lives of the Taoists.
