e.g. if a smoker doesn't think of smoking once, even when he sees and smells someone else smoking, then he quits smoking completely. He behaves just like a non-smoker who will not think of smoking. The act of smoking is not connected with "I want to" in his mind. The memory of how smoking feels still exists, this distinguishes him from a non-smoker. But the desire, the urge, or the will to smoke doesn't arise at all. The mind is completely at ease, not disturbed by smoking.
