electric car to differentiate itself but does not "have money left for

(b) Indeed the left panel of the graphic shows BYD is cutting its overall R
& D compared with last year. The right panel showed decreasing sales, as
much as by a third, each month of this year compared with the same month a
year ago, based on data not from the company (probably BYD does not release
them) but from China Passenger Car Association.
