今天开车在高速上开了550麦突然注意到一表盘上写着 maintenance due soon. 然后看
到详细信息说 Engine oil life 15% remaining
当时的里程数是4200麦。停车后 Reset 了那个maintenance information。又开了大概
200多麦，停车后看那个 maintenance information, 结果没有那个 15% engine oil
life, 反而显示的是 100% engine oil life. 觉得很奇怪，大家一般等到多少麦做第
一次换油？
与因为在旅途当中，如果需要换油，可以到 jiffy lube 做新车第一次换油吗？

早点换没问题。不要去 jiffy lube

为什么要重设呢？有的老车可能算的是里程，新的据说是量的油的粘性。可以等到due
now去换。曾经有销售告诉我等到5%去，因为新车磨合期用的油不一样，可以让它多磨
合一下。

你很幽默嘛。行车电脑都提示你还剩15%机油了，你把它reset了可不就回到100%了。

You should not reset it without changing oil. The first maintenance is A1.
It's oil and filter change and tire rotation.
Don't go to Jiffy lube. It's a bad shop. Go to Honda dealer. They use 0w-20
fully synthetic oil.
I just changed my Pilot's oil, filter, rotated tires at dealer last week at
6000 miles (oil life was 5% and maintenance reminder is "Maintenance due now
".
You can change engine oil at 6000 miles and do reset at that time. Just tell
your dealer you accidentally reset it.
Our Honda dealer charges $34.99 for oil/filter change with fully synthetic
oil and tire rotation.

我们这的good year很黑，还是自己换好一些，就是有点儿脏

Rotate tires supposed to add $20 but the Honda dealer told me they won't
charge it (my first ever service from this Honda dealer, an out of town
dealer 45 minutes away. I am fed up with our in town Honda dealer).

Pilot has smart system to decide when it's time to change oil based on your
daily driving conditions. If your majority driving is on highway, it will
prompt you for oil change near 7500-10000 miles. If your daily commute is
stop an go or you tow a lot, it may prompt you at 3000 miles.
I had mix driving and was prompted at 5k miles.
Highlander has the similar system, right?
