Liqun Luo obtained his B.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology from the University
of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1986, and his Ph.D. degree in
Biology from Brandeis University in 1992. He trained as a postdoctoral fello
w in University of California, San Francisco before joining the faculty of S
tanford at the end of 1996. At present, he is an assistant professor in the
Department of Biological Sciences, and a member of the Neurosciences Program
