标题: 请教大家, EB2 140 批后在本公司内部换工作,需要重新申请PERM吗?

我知道EB2 140 批后，如果换到其他公司，能保留PD，但得从PERM再开始。如果在
本公司内部换到不同部门，title换了，但是工作性质类似，也需要重新申请PERM吗？

我在排名４０多的学校读CS phd，想转到排名高的学校，不知道这几所学校套教授能进
去吗？还是必须得正式申请，committee决定才能进去？望达人指点！

help.
sorry i cannot write in chinese.
yesterday, i buy a new dell laptop with window vista.
at first it run well. and then i try to partition the c disk with "partition
magic" but it does not work. the soft showed that it is a error for c disc.
then i run it again, it does not work at all and i try to repair from image.
it does not work and i try to format and reintall. however, i canot format
the c disc. this thing never happen before.
what should i do?
help.

自己的感触
1.其实windows性能对CPU并不是很敏感。硬件的瓶颈往往在内存和硬盘上。内存一定要
2G以上，最好4G. 硬盘最好RAID, 也就2个完全相同的硬盘，主板支持 RAID 0。
2. 想办法给windows瘦身，一些不用的service，能干掉就干掉。可以去下载tinyxp
Rev09,或者 tinyVist Rev02 参考一下。我试过在windows PE 系统下（也就是国内流
行的口袋xp系统，象老毛桃，深山红叶啥的。copy文件速度至少提高20%。
3. 经常除碎片，清除临时文件。NTFS比FAT32也要快点。
4. 内存巨大还可以做个RAM盘，把swap放上面，嗬嗬

96初，到日本的第一天，住在一栋楼里的邻居须藤用茶盘端着沏好的抹茶来到我的房间
，这可能是他独有的“初次见面、彼此认识一下”的表达方式。语言沟通上的障碍也只
能是简单的十几分钟“寒暄”，须藤把他房间里的电话给了我，让我告诉家里人可以通
过他的电话和我联系。
在我没有装电话的近两个月的时间里，去须藤那里接过几次电话，每次接完电话我都
带点东西过去感谢一下。这样一来，每个星期抽1、2个小时坐下来聊聊天就成了一种习
惯。

如果你只是想分区的话就不用格式化C盘了。Vista自带分区软件，右键点击我的电脑，
选manage，disk management。

另外一点: 赢了, 就从新从1个筹码开始.
缺点是要有足够多的钱, 如果连输10次的话, 你就要有1024个筹码.但好像连输10次也
很难啊

UIUC是committee。感觉你列的好像大都是committee。但凡事没有绝对，如果你套的教
授愿你给你RA，并在committee里力保你的话，都是有希望的。

By OSU I mean Oklahoma State University. One of the good things about it is
its value for money. The tuition is among the lowest of public universities
and the education you can get is very good.Because not a lot of people from
China know about the program, the admission now is not very competitive yet

I do see some students in the program come directly from undergraduate with
no working experiences. There are Chinese as well. What's awesome about this
program is you have a full time career advisor that help you develop your
prefessional skills and find internships and jobs. There are quite some
employment opportunities on campus and I believe if you are willing to put
in the time and efforts, you should be able to find internships and jobs. I

From what I heard, last year 94% of students found their jobs before
graduation and the remaining 6% found theirs within 3 months after
graduation.

Thanks for the information. However, I can not agree to evaluating a program
solely based on the employment rate. Also I find the logic questionable by
saying because Harvard has a employment rate of 90%, OSU's must be lower
than that. It's an individual choice for a person to choose Harvard or OSU.
As I said before, OSU is good for some of us because of its much lower
tuition for the good education you can get compared to those big name

employment rate是business school ranking很重要的指标
你可以看看top 30 b-school，有哪间能跟你OSU比，100%的人找到工作？
不要满嘴歪理了，念你这个OSU或念harvard只是personal choice?
如果能够被harvard录取的人，会为了学费而去念osu？开什么玩笑！

Salary mean of 55k is kinda low for MBA, you do realize that a lot of
undergrads make more than that, right?
But yeah I agree it is a personal choice, too bad Havard has only 200 seats
for their students, not everyone is born smart + rich. but that shouldnt
stop you from persuing your dreams and live a better life.

Thanks for your input!
I totally agree with pursuing one's dream and a better life.
However, going to a state university does not mean the end to that pursuit.
Actually, a survey shows that 2/3 of the CEOs of the top 150 silicon valley
companies graduated from public/state university (refer to below article)
Big names will help you get in the door, but once you're in it, it's your
day to day, long term efforts that really counts. I believe graduates from
state universities will have adv

MBA to me is a journey. I found myself grow not only in knowledge and skills
but also as a person.
A great MBA program to me is not one that brings you big dollar jobs, but
one that helps discover yourself, find out who you are, where you fit in and
what your purpose is in your life.
I love my MBA program for that.
