A client's name is Leah Kats anb I emailed something like "Thank you Kats".
Then She replied "You are welcome, Wang". What should I say? Is it offending
to got ppl's first name wrong? Thanks

two possibilities:1. she was joking with you 2. she was offended and called
you the same thing 3. she thought that maybe people in your culture address
people by their first names, so she just played along.
i think #1 is probably the case.
i don't think it is offensive to adress people by their last names. of
course, it would be better if you used Ms. Kats.
and stop being paranoid about this already.
