"A girls' boarding school?" Ben said with surprise. "No guys?"
"A lot of guys---three miles away."
Ben thought for a momment. "I guess that makes it a lot harder to date."
"Not for me," I said jauntily. It was the truth---three miles was no
harder than three feet away---it all seemed pretty impossible to me.
"Really," he said, interpreting my statement in a different way, smiling
and studying me. "Well, at least it cuts down on distructions."
I raised my eyebrows, hoping I looked interested and
