Preface
About ten years ago when I finished Grade 12 in Beijing and moved to Toronto
for high school, there were very few Chinese students in the school. Most
of Chinese students were in universities doing graduate level research. In
terms of English, my fellow students and I faced a different challenge from
those in graduate schools. We had to study English together with the local
students, and study physics, chemistry, biology, in English. It is a big
transition for us.
