I would like to thank you for your interest in a faculty position at xxx.
This message is to confirm that your application has been received and is
now being considered.
Please note that reference letters are NOT needed until you receive a
specific request from our search committee.
In case you are wondering about out time frame, we hope to begin phone
interviews starting February 1, and on campus interviews starting February
15.

这意思就是说，如果2月1号没有消息，就是默据了吧
终于有一封据信了哈

2月1日前没收到email来schedule phone interview，估计就没戏了。有的search
committee拖着不发拒信，等人家on campus过后，position filled才发出拒信。

还碰见过不发拒信的，写信过去问，说position已经filled。是个黑人女chair。

啥都说明不了。
不过，的确是如果2月1号之后没有信息的话就是据了
