本人会计金融 teaching school TT experienced assistant professor. 做了一篇自
认为质量比较高的文章(a complete paper)。然后找本方向手握hand-collected data
牛人求合作。此美国白人牛人开始的时候表示有兴趣，会读一下，然后吞吞吐吐，快一
个月过去了，隔不久回一个email，问一些和文章本身无关的不痛不痒的问题such as：
is this your dissertation paper?
我虽然很礼貌的说please take your time to evaluate the potential。但是我越来
越担心他可能会自己做了。反正我没有data，他是牛人，不怕和我compete. I
followed prior literature and used estimated data, not hand-collected data
which is more accurate. But using hand-collected data is the trend recently.
我打算post my paper to SSRN immediately and submit to conferences. Then hand
-collect a small random sample as a robustness test. 最坏的打算是一个 peer-
reviewed publication. 只是觉得idea and story挺好的，可惜了, 本来想找他一起做
个top-tier。
有人有过类似经历么？
