中NSF CAREER 和中了NSF Grants,哪个更重要？

NSF Grant 被拒了，还有机会投 Career，而且 review 的意见还能用来改进 Career。
NSF Grant 中了的话，其实也不比 Career 弱。
当然前提是 NSF Grant 是 sole PI.

这就是我的想法和做法啊。那年11月份投了个NSF，心里想着要是不中的话第二年改改再
投个CAREER。结果我运气好，直接就给中了。前两天刚刚写了个CAREER，心里想要是
不中的话，到11月份时改改投个普通NSF。要是今年运气好，能够中一个的话，做梦都要
笑醒了。
这年头，有钱就行了，还挑剔是不是CAREER？

肉和海鲜是不能反复冻和解冻的，一般你买肉的包装上都会说的。

Window就是每个program每年只有若干天可以投proposals。

I was in a similar boat several years ago. I wanted to test the water of my
CAREER idea and submitted an unsolicited proposal in September. By next June
, I still had not received any decision on that proposal. I sent an email to
my program director to ask about the status of my proposal and if I can
expand the proposal and submit it as a CAREER in July. The PD was very nice
and informed me: 1) he was looking for money to support my unsolicited
proposal, and 2) if I expand the proposal and submit it as a CAREER, he
would reject my CAREER if he eventually found money to fund my unsolicited,
and consider my CAREER if he did not find money to fund my unsolicited.
I eventually expanded my unsolicited proposal and submitted it as a CAREER
in July. The PD declined my unsolicited two weeks later (I knew it was good
news then) and recommended funding for my CAREER five months later. The rest
is history.

有异味，发黏，都是坏了的标志。不要再食用，要不然后果可大可小。小的可能是呕吐
