I called the tier-2 officer three times today, and have diff answer/
attitudes from diff ppl. some said they cannot see/provide whether the name/background check is done or not, but another said the check result has not been sent back from FBI, but they can see my FP is done which I already know from FBI.
Is there anyone who was told a positive answer regarding the name/
background check from the tier-2 officer?
I was also told my case was assigned to the "decision division" already. How
long would it take usually to make the final decision ?
BTW, all those representatives seem very tired in answering the calls, so
some are not so friendly.

that is because you called three times a day and they are right nobody can
tell you the name check status unless you infopass

Is there any requirement to do infopass ? Can you share how to do it ?
If they are now processing the Feb cases, then mine (March) would stay for
long.

you can go to uscis website then click infopass, follow the procedure to
make an appointment

i think it should be very soon for you

I feel tier-2 officers are not quite well trained. Some are even unwilling
to check into the system but only gave me "pending", while others are nicer
to provide more information. So try more times if you unlucky.

i was told they have no access to the result of name/background checking.
What they can see is only the FP result and "they have sent name/background
check requests to FBI"
So you may be OK.
You may ask whether you case is in the 'decision division' ?
Your 458's RD and which center ?

mid of March, TSC
USCIS told me the FP was ok.
The officer sounded like very tired, but she was somehow nice.
