This afternoon (Jan.08.2015 Friday) I called USCIS guest service number 1-
800-375-5283 provided here at MITBBS to inquire the situation of our EAD/AP
cards renewal. Although my original purpose of this phone call was just to
inquire the case situation, because I am afraid they did mail out the
biometrics notice but it was lost on the way or in the mail; however, it
looks like the lady on the other side of the phone was very active, not only
did she tell me my case was untouched and eliminated the possibility of
biometrics notice being mailed out and lost, but she also did a service
request for me, because she thought a service request could be done if
biometrics notice is not sent after 30 days since EAD/AP case submitted.
Thus, she did the service request for me based on that reason, and the
confirmation number is T1B**********TSC. She also said they could be
contacted about the EAD case after 75 days since case submitted, because it'
s approaching the 90-days limit, but she didn't say that would expedite the
case anyhow.
At the same time, she asked me if I have other pending cases, so I told her
my I-485 case had been pending for 14 months and two service requests were
done in 2015 August and 2015 October separately. She checked my I-485 case
based on the case receipt number I had provided, and saw the result of my
most recent service request, and said there was no waiting days mentioned
there. Then, she immediately did a service request for me for this I-485
case, and the confirmation number is T1B**********TSC. Thus, this is my 3rd
service request, I've never heard anyone had done so many service requests,
so I am afraid it's too many to be good.
