Fortune 1000 companies have increased their litigation and intellectual
property (IP) budgets this year, and expect these practice areas to continue
to grow in 2003, according to a new report.
At the same time, M&A budgets have been cut by nearly half, with the number of
companies predicting an increase in spending in this area next year dropping
by half.
