前不久Skidmore, Owings & Merrill的recruitor打电话给我，希望我去面试。我现在
的工作其实也还可以，而且相对还算稳定。但是SOM的名气太大了，也不是不动心。不
知道他们内部的企业文化怎么样，对员工怎么样，发展前景如何。有了解他们内部情况
的人在这里吗？希望能给指点一二。多谢了。

这场贸易战终于变成了现实，尽管中间也磋商多次，但是暴风雨还是来了。
多国已经发出了哀嚎声，因为这看似是中美两个最大经济体之间的贸易战，实际则是直
接波动到全球的经济，尤其是新加坡、匈牙利和韩国等等严重依赖出口的国家，现在都
是瑟瑟发抖，甚至已经开始绝望了。
全球股市震荡，开始大跌，接下来就是全球的产业链断裂的声音，因为现在是全球自由
贸易，很多商品，是由多个国家共同生产的，比如说苹果手机，组装是在中国，电池是
韩国的，芯片和系统是美国的等等，类似这样的情况简直太多了，所以一旦某个国家卷
入贸易战，而且是超级大规模的贸易战，那么其他国家和生产环节，都会受到直接影响。
可以这么说，中美打贸易战，先倒下的国家经济，确实不一定是中国或者美国，真的有
可能是韩国或者新加坡，人们无法阻止美国打贸易战，只能眼睁睁的看着事态严重下去。
中国这次也不可能让步，因为让步只会比迎战要更惨，中国是被迫迎战的，但是会尽全
力去打，好在中国的产业链是全世界最完整的，所以等着看吧，当全球产业链断裂的时
候，中国的优势，就发挥出来了。

他老人家不知道从3.3V需要多少电流

Then he figured out input current should be

中新网旧金山7月2日消息：美国一家国际知名建筑师行Skidmore,Owings &
MerrillLL P的华裔女建筑师吴盈芝，因控诉雇主强迫她退休以摊分其持有公司股份案
，1日在旧金山高等法院第一天审理之前，达成控辩双方和解协议。
据当地华文媒体报道﹐国际知名建筑师行Skidmore,Owings&&MerrillLLP的华裔女
股份合伙人吴盈芝，于去年6月18日控告建筑师行及两名高层股份合伙人，以她年届60
为由强迫她退休，其后将她停职。吴盈芝表示，他们之所经这样做是因为想摊分她所
持有的公司股份。
1日开审当天，该建筑师行高层合伙人David Childs和Craig Hartman并未出庭，仅
由律师代表。据律师表示，原被告双方在上周末进行和解协商，终于在开庭前一晚达成
和解，协议内容令双方满意。据有关人士透露，和解内容有可能是吴盈芝获得一笔可
观补偿费。但控辩律师都未透露补偿费数目。

按照建设生态智能城市形态、休闲商务城市功能的理念，由美国HOK(霍克)公司主持规
划设计的《廊坊市生态智能城市概念性规划》8月10日接受专家团评审。市委书记赵世
洪、副市长肖双胜出席评审会。

专家评审会由来自住房和城乡建设部、北京大学、清华大学、同济大学、中国
城市规划设计研究院、中国城市规划学会的7位专家组成。

评审会上，首先由主持设计的HOK公司吴盈芝女士对规划进行介绍。规划项目
是对廊坊原有规划的完善和提升，体现12项设计原则：全球模式、对意境的追求、结合
地方特色、相互依存的生活、必须满足居民基本生活需要、健康的经济模式、弹性的应
对变化、优化资源利用、节能减排、设计结合自然、保护和加强区域的生态结构、鼓励
全民参与。她结合这12项原则，对具体内容做了说明。
廊坊市“生态智能城市概念性总体规划”获得“2010年美国建筑师学会香港分会区域与
城市设计优异奖” [2011-02-17 22:31:28]
日前，在美国建筑师学会香港分会 (AIAHONGKONG)公布的2010年度区域与城市设计获奖
名单上，廊坊市“生态智能城市概念性总体规划”榜上有名，获得“2010年美国建筑师
学会香港分会区域与城市设计优异奖”。该奖项为美国建筑师学会亚洲地区(除日本外)
组织评选的建筑与城市规划行业的最高奖项，也是我省首次获得此奖项。
与廊坊市“生态智能城市概念性总体规划”同时入围美国建筑师学会香港分会区域与城
市设计优异奖项目的，还有美国SOM公司的“北京CBD东扩” 、“天津滨海新区CBD”等
6个项目。在评选中，廊坊“生态智能城市概念性总体规划”以其创新性和鲜明特色赢
得评审专家的一致肯定，成为2010年美国建筑师学会香港分会区域与城市设计优异奖唯
一得主。
廊坊“生态智能城市概念性总体规划”是该市三年大变样、推进城镇化工作以来，聘请
世界顶级规划建筑设计机构美国 HOK公司按照生态智能、休闲商务的主题编制的。
该规划具有三大特点：一是创造性地提出了构建“生态+智能城市”的发展模式，以生
态为魂，以智能为体，对于城市社会健康、可持续发展具有很好的指引作用；二是在国
内外第一个以城市整体为单位开展生态城市研究和实践，第一个在已建成的城市上进行
生态智能城市的规划与改造；三是探索城乡一体化的区域创新发展之路，以廊坊未来组
团式城市群为规划研究范围，以生态为目标，以智能为手段，以生态产业为支撑，摸索
一条新型城镇化发展、城乡统筹协调发展的道路，探索从根本上解决农村、农民、农业
问题。
由美国建筑师学会(AIA)主办，美国建筑师学会香港分会承办的2010年美国建筑师学会
香港分会评选，是亚太地区规划与建筑设计领域的顶尖聚会，代表了亚太地区最高的规
划设计水平。

She began her career in architecture and real estate in 1969, when she

Wharf -- at 6.5m square feet, Europe's largest privately sponsored
development.
She directed the design and construction of the new San Francisco
International Terminal Building, the renovation of San Francisco's historic

nearby, equally important California Supreme Court Building as a new State
Office & Courts Building in San Francisco's Civic Center.
In China, she directed major commercial projects in Beijing, Shanghai, and

LDO = Low Dropout Regulator, linear
I (in) = I (out) + I (q)
but Iq is really low around 40uA so normally we don't count it.
efficiency is about V(out)/V(in) if eliminate Iq.
yes LDO has pretty big loss, Ploss=(V(in)-V(out))*Iload
hehe

Carolina Woo retired as a Partner of the international architecture-
engineering firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). A native of Shanghai,
China, she served as President of SOM International Ltd., with overall
responsibility for SOM’s work in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Asia-
Pacific region.
A graduate of Columbia University Gradual School of Business and Rhode
Island School of Design, Ms. Woo joined SOM in 1969, becoming a Partner in
1984. She began her career working as a staff architect working with Gordon
Bunshaft in New York on such famous SOM projects as the Smithsonian’s
Joseph H. Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C., and the
Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library at the University of Texas in
Austin.
After becoming a Project Manager, Ms. Woo was on one of two senior managers
responsible for King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
. A key element of this wholly-new airport was the Haj Terminal which won an
Aga Khan Award—the highest honor for a work of architecture in an Islamic
country.
Work and projects in the public interest have been a recurring theme of Ms.
Woo’s career. She was a Trustee of San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art
and a member of New York City’s Municipal Art Society. She also directed
the implementation of New York City’s Transitional Housing for the Homeless
Program. In China, she has overseen the planning of China’s first
national center for pediatric acute care treatment and training—Shanghai
Children’s Medical Center, sponsored by America’s Project HOPE Foundation
and planned in collaboration with the Pediatric Departments of the Medical
Centers affiliated with Harvard and three other American universities.
Presently, she is a Trustee of Rhode Island School of Design, Providence

When our company as a group visited the building (where their Chicago office
is located) for an expo last summer, we went up to visit their office last
summer too by a request from our colleagues which were from SOM before.
Lots of empty seats, half office is empty there. They laid off many people
last two years. Three guys went to our company after they were laid off.

知名设计公司,ENR top 50，公司美国总共1000多员工,裁掉200多人,主管谈完话,限定
10分钟离开办公室,不准再用电脑,基本就是背上自己的包就走人.
全公司大概裁了15%
这次裁员没有任何征兆,可能高层已经酝酿一段时间了,非常突然的宣布.
过去一年公司不停的面试人,不停招人,3个月前还有新人来,说是工程10年都做不完,一
个月内,中东,俄罗斯几个大工程全部停了,甲方说没钱了,工程"暂时"停止.
我们结构设计组,裁了大概10%.
一个印度硕士,刚结婚,刚把老婆弄过来,现在连身份都是问题,一个印度phd，情况也类
似。中国员工结构的暂时没有被裁的。
建筑学和规划，大概裁了15%-20%，好几个中国职员被干掉了，真是恐怖啊。
整个办公室，几天都没什么人说话，冷清清的，估计第二波裁员会在明年上半年，因为
很多手头上的工程半年就做完了，经济不好，很难有新的工程近来，结果就是。。。。
。。。
昨天听说，TT也裁了一批人，
菩萨保佑，希望挺过明年！！

从去年11月开始，公司就不停裁人，到现在连裁了4个月了，裁了快40%了。昨天员工大
会，没有被裁的，全体减薪10%。。。。。。。。
真是一夜又回到解放前了

主要是charlie扮相和lost里不太一样，好像是光头
