我发邮件给search committee chair询问，得到的答复是这样的：
We are going through the interview process and will be contacting people
within the next few weeks if there will be campus visits as the next steps.
I wish the process was faster, and apologize for how long it is taking, but
we are going through all the steps required for the hiring process.
其实面试后一周我给chair就发了邮件，当时是这么回的：
We are waiting to get recommendations from the chair and dean, so it looks
like it will be next week before we get their decisions about which
candidates to bring in for campus interviews. I will be in contact once I
hear back from them. Have a great weekend!
这个是什么意思呢？我被当备胎了么？
