Depression can be deadly. I am speechless when reading the news from cnn.
Conclusion first: Having upbeat, charming personality doesn't mean one is safe
from depression.

It's very disheartening to me seeing how limited mental professionals can
help.I guess one with mental disorder has to walk out by him/herself. Maybe
following two movies are also helpful:
1) The beautiful mind;
and
2) When a Man loves a Woman.
The second one is a chick flick.
To walk out of depression or other kinds of mental disorder, one has to
realize there is a problem, face the problem, and know you can change yourself
to get rid of it. One has to forgive him/herself, give him/herself an

抑郁症本来就不光是心理问题.personality再好的人,让她连续几天不睡觉,要是还upbeat
charming 就神了.产后抑郁受身体因素影响更大,关键是要休息好,调养好.

我觉得正常人mental disorder很多是抑郁的造成损害的结果.然后恶性循环.
只要能脱离恶性循环,基本就回好转.
很多天才其实是mental disease的症状.天才之所以成为天才,主要是因为他某方面太弱.
就象瞎子的听力比非瞎子要好得多.欲练神功,引刀自宫,就是这个道理.
在美国的印度人肯定比中国人多.但是中国的天才太多.
