"the hours"
架构很有意思: virginia woolf的生活片断, 构思mrs. dollaway 时的断断续续的灵感源
泉...时空挪移, mrs. dollaway在二十世纪末到花店买花...二十世纪末一个读者laura
brown的一天, 携带小说mrs. d出走数小时, 对家庭, 责任,生活的短暂逃避...
作家, 读者, 书中人三者的历验内省穿插掩映, 所以"the hours"在小说的底子上, 有淡
淡的, 被想象与虚构打散了的传记与书评的色彩.
语言很象woolf.
btw mrs. d在我看来是其小说中最为干净利落的, 七窍玲珑, 又具透明流动的气质.
仿佛透过清水与水面的阳光, 观看沉在水底的鹅卵石上的纹采.

Just read yesterday about a movie based on that book, starring Meryl Streep,
Julian Moore, and Nicole Kidman. (And guess which one of them plays VW? ;-) )
Seems it would be a hard book to adopt, but the movie was just picked as the
best film of the year by National Board of Review of Motion Pictures, "whose
annual Top 10 honors kick off the film awards season that culminates with the
Oscars".

呵呵我是先听一个朋友说起nicole kidman要演VW, 看solaris时又瞄到trailer才找到这
本书的. 电影肯定会去看的. 这样的片子也不会太难拍吧. mrs. d, to the
lighthouse, orlando也拍过电影的, 可惜都没看过.;-( 现在technique这样先进, 感觉
会产生越来越多的意识流片子, 传统电影也会更多利用这样的镜头.
btw我的原post里有点说错了, laura brown是二十世纪中叶的人.

, 也有因为作者对VW及其典著的巧妙利用吧.

刚买了一本james king写的她的传记，图个便宜。好几百页才6块钱，新书

不会是NK，第一感觉是MS，但那就没意思了，如果导演有趣就选
JM吧，美得有书卷气而且有点敏感。MS缺那点英国式的东西。
BTW，印象中每个电影都是年度十佳，就象每首歌都上排行榜一样。
我都习惯冲着演员去看片了。这三个演员，每个都是值得去看的

ft vw was very beautiful. Her photoes were always on the cover of her works
and critism books related with her.
Her maternal family had a profound reputation as producing generations of
beauties hehe. Her mother, loads of aunts, sister, half-sister etc. all
carried that tradition, and eh all looked similar to me.
My first response when my friend said that nk would be as vw was that oh no
they were so different types of appearances.
NK looked very intense.
VW otherwise looked elegant and a bit

Woolf had a very straight Roman nose, which Kidman doesn't have.
Kate Winslet would have been a better choice in the sense of nose, hehe.

纯粹论相貌很难找到十全十象的呢, 把时代特征打扮出来就有几分了.
对襟开衫长裙子, 头发中分, 服贴得象上了蜡, 或者戴个宽沿帽, 帽子上绑几片大羽毛..
就象Frida, 演员也不太象, 就是扣住了特征, 衣饰.
连心眉, 头发拢上去, 缠了一层层的布, 正中一巨大的蝴蝶结,
项上厚甸甸的玻璃串子, 裙子盖脚, 颜色都是鲜艳无比的.
先声夺人impress观众..
kate winslet是不是比较矮啊, 我在猜找nicole是不是因为她长的高或者给人感觉她很高
..
woolf高, 背不直, 尤其年老的时候..

Just finished this book yesterday. Have not really obsorbed much. ;)
This book...It's a world with so many glass doors, entering,
exitting, a crystal ball inside another crystal ball.(quote or:
"七窍玲珑, 又具透明流动的气质.") In it there is this harmony: a tone
feminine and compassionate. It does not judge these people: whether
woolf, or laura, or clarissa. (even richard) Somehow this absence of
judgement moved me quite much.
I also adore the way M.C places these three women in time. It's lovely how
the di
