Job Description.
Responsibilities:
• Develop test plans and test cases, including analysis of complex use
cases.
• Investigate and document discovered problems.
• Well-versed in interpreting functional requirements and functional
specifications.
• Well-versed in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to perform impact analysis of software changes
• Able to consistently ensure we produce high-quality software.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure,
entrepreneurial environment.
• Document process or procedures within QA department.
• Interact with other departments (e.g., development, support, product
management, etc.).
• This position is expected to work effectively with little-to-no
management oversight.
Prior experience and specialized or technical knowledge (a must):
• Minimum 3+ years manual testing experience on a web-based
application required; must have a thorough understanding
of web-based applications and technologies
• Must be technically savvy and be able to work with Developers
• Demonstrated ability to analyze use-cases to create comprehensive
test plans and test cases.
• Experience in a software company that implemented and sold software
products in a competitive marketplace.
• Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in
writing.
• Degreed professional required.
Desirable/specialized technical knowledge (nice to haves):
• In-depth experience with Notes and/or Outlook email systems, with an
understanding of the backend servers (i.e., Domino
and/or Exchange) would be a big plus.
• Experience with email upgrades or migrations would be a big plus.
• Experience with SQL in a SQL Server environment, with the ability to
write complex database queries
• Experience with QA automation and/or scripting/programming skills a
plus.
