约的时间是中午12点一刻, 父母到的比较早, 不到十一点半就进去了, 看来早去还是有
好处的. 北京大使馆永远人满为患, 从进去到出来共计3个小时.
面签过程很简单, 但是因为是父母第一次去美国大使馆, 所以材料准备了不少, 足有80
多页纸. 实际上只用到了我写给签证官的邀请信, 其他的材料都没看, 所以个人感觉邀
请信还是比较重要的.
过程如下:
老爸递上邀请信, VO读了一下, 开始提问.
VO: 你们都退休了吗?
父母: 是的.
VO: 你们每个月退休金有多少?
父母: 3000多块吧.
VO: 你们第一次去美国吗?
父母:是的
VO: 去美国干什么?
父母: 看儿子
VO: 你儿子在美国干什么?
父母: 工作.
VO: 做什么工作?
父母: 电脑工程师
VO: 有照片吗?
老妈递上一个小相册.
VO: 你们过了
VO: 邀请信我可以留下吗?
父母: 当然可以.
感觉还是比较容易的, 就是不知道为什么要留下邀请信. 有人遇到这个情况的吗?
邀请信如下:
To whom it may concern,
This is XXX, it is with great pleasure I am writing to you in support of the B-2 visa applications for my
parents, XXX and XXX. They plan to visit me and my wife XXX from XXX to XXX.
It has been one year and four months since I came to US on May last year with my wife. Although we went
back to China for the Chinese New Year for a short time on January this year, we really would like to invite
them over to spend a few months with us here. This would be their first time to US. We plan to show them
US’s great natural scenery and visit some world-famous attraction cities including XXX, XXX and XXX. The
other very important reason we would like to invite them to our home is we want to enjoy our 2012 Chinese
New Year together because we can’t go back to China next year due to working reasons. So we are looking
forward to their coming to enjoy our reunion and splendid travel experiences!
I am a XXX employee, and I will cover their all cost in US, including flight tickets, local transportation, food
and board, insurance, recreation, and any others that may occur. My grandmothers need their care so they
will return to China after this visit. They have very good pension and full health insurance coverage in
China, and also have several real estates, a brand new car (they bought it early this year) and big deposits.
