我们这专业竞争激烈，去research school哥是没那个能力的
如果去了teaching school教书，暑假做点点科研，以后是不是一辈子就这样了。。。
想回国也很难找合适的职位了吧。。。。

Carnegie Mellon University
The Murphy and Rohde groups within the Lane Center for Computational Biology
, a department within the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon
University, are seeking two postdoctoral fellows for a new project in the
area of computer vision for digital pathology. The project seeks to apply
and further develop machine vision methods that recognize changes in nuclear
morphology and subcellular protein distribution associated with tumor
development in various human issues. The project will be carried out in
collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Omnyx,
LLC. The positions are available June 1 and applications will be accepted
until they are filled.

REQUIREMENTS
• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning,
Computer Vision, Computer Science, Statistics or Electrical and Computer

analysis.
• Strong record of research publication.
• Excellent communication skills.

帮顶。处境差不多。也有类似的疑问。去Teaching school语言还有教学经历感觉自己
也是弱项。很尴尬。目前很是迷茫-不知道是不是该马上改行。
对faculty还有一些向往是觉得做faculty时间自由多了，哪怕去个小teaching school,
钱是少，科研也没啥奔头，但是下点功夫把课教好后就可以按部就班，每年3,4个月假
期，隔几年还有一年的sabbatical。这些时间应该可以做点自己感兴趣的东西，挣点外
快，或者回国搞点合作啥的，国内学校一样也有369等。
再不就是照顾好家人，陪陪孩子。一样挺好的。
是不是想法很消极。大家请拍砖。

关键是teaching school现在也不好进吧

国内有些高校开始分流专职科研、专职教学以及教学与科研并重岗。这样的话回国内专
职教学岗可能有戏吧。或者别去teaching school，博士后回去选择反而大一些。

中国人进Teaching school并不容易的。别人对你的语言打大问号的。对中国人来说，
Research school 好进的多。别一副看不起teaching school的口气，人家更看不上外
来移民的水平呢。teaching school对语言和教学要求狠高，比research school 难进
多了，根本不适合外来移民，呵呵
