In our discipline people seldom publish on arxiv first so I am unsure what
the value of publishing on arxiv is. Can I send this paper again to ordinary
journals and get published without issues? Also, for those who do arxiv
frequently, please let me know your experience: what is people's reaction to
a paper already published on arxiv? Does it really help you secure an idea?

已经设置了MTP，电脑总是说找到信硬件，blah blah然后连不上。如果touchpad设置那
个相机的，似乎在电脑上能看到2个文件夹。xp系统。有办法吗

取决于你的专业，和你准备投稿的杂志。
有些杂志不愿意接受已经放到 arxiv 的文章，比如 Nature。物理
杂志一般不太在乎这个，放到 arxiv 的文章只是优先权的问题，不代表
正式发表。

个人觉得arxiv只对大牛有用。如果你是大牛，放在arxiv上很多人也会看到，会引用。
如果不是名人，别人看到了装没看到你也没办法。

我研究了很久都没装成功驱动，简单的办法是装airdroid或者wifi file explorer之类
的，直接无线管理

arxiv主要就是拿优先权
但是有的时候
也可能什么人看到了
做出了比你的文章更好的结果
然后你的文章可能就没用了

没投过不要传谣

nature editor不止一次澄清过这个问题了
很多实验组不放arxiv都是有别的原因，nature本身没这要求
Contributions being prepared for or submitted to a Nature journal can be
posted on recognized preprint servers (such as ArXiv or Nature Precedings),
and on collaborative websites such as wikis or the author's blog.

你怎么知道我没投过？你太自以为是了。
我个人经验，不是传谣。我说他们不喜欢这样。
但有人的确先发 archive

editor告诉你他们不喜欢了？
人家editor宣传会上专门辟谣说没这事，更不会区别对待

bso 见过编辑！你也许还没听说什么叫 impact，也没听说
embargo policy。你先发出来，还没接受，当然新闻价值
就低了。

数学领域，很多文章发表周期很长，这期间被引用都是arxiv引用
如果不发在arxiv，别人不太好引用你。

且，剛好相反吧。一般會議審稿很難找到錯誤。騙一個會議文章再說。
改得過來就投雜誌，改不過來也無所謂。很多不要臉的人這麼幹

so what would happen in this scenario:
if several groups are coming to a similar conclusion at the approximately
the same speed. One group submitted to a formal journal. another group
submitted the work to arxiv, and then to a journal. Who will people give
credit to?

I think if you do have time to submit it to arxiv, you'd better do it first.

这个事情也许也分方向，09年有一篇文章送审的时候，老板写信特意问过那个编辑，那
个编辑说不会有特别处理（歧视），但确实很含蓄地表示不鼓励先放，当然，也可能现
在这种不鼓励也被去掉了，毕竟09年是比较久远之前的事情了
