When I was a postdoc in a school, the deductible of insurance is very low,
only $250 and office visit is not subject to deductible. Now I come to a
company. I overview the policy of several plans of the insurance, deducible
is usallly very high,$3000 for employee and $6000 for familty and the office
visit is subjet to deductible. That means even if you go to see a doctor
for catching a cold and other things, you have to pay up to $6000, then after that you can use the plan to cover some portion of the bill. Is this very common for insurance of employees in company? or these insurance plans are too bad?
