Research Specialist in Bioinformatics
The candidate should have a MS or PhD degree bioinformatics, quantitative
genetics or closely related fields with experience. Knowledge of molecular
biology or genetics, experience in using R and Bioconductor, ability to
conduct microarray/RNA-Seq and standard statistical analyses, and
familiarity with at least one programming language (Perl, Python, Java),
Linux environment is required. Other desired qualifications include, passion
for obtaining results, attention to details, multi-tasking skills,
effective teamwork communication. The candidate should be self-motivated,
able to work and learn independently. Salary is commensurate with
qualifications. Job location: University of Illinois at Chicago.
