Position Specific Essential Responsibilities’ & Specific Functions
Design and execute procedure/product development studies
Develop novel technologies and products used for DNA assembly
Participate in the development of novel applications and
protocols
Collaborates with other team members to meet pre-determined
project deadlines
Analyzes raw data, reports results and plans the subsequent
steps.
Filing invention disclosures and writing manuscripts for
publication, Represents company at scientific conference and trade shows.
Interacts with and assists other members of the department as
needed to meet research objectives.
Interacts with internal departments and external customers to
assist with customer service/technical support and to advance collaborative
research projects as directed.
Accomplish department and personal goals
Qualifications
PHD degree (in Biology, molecular biology, Genetics,
Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related life sciences field) with five or more
years relevant lab experience required
Master’s degree (in Biology, molecular biology, Genetics,
Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related life sciences field) with seven or
more years relevant lab experience preferred
Hands-on experience with molecular biology(specifically with DNA
manipulation and DNA synthesis) required
Experience with DNA product development (particularly for DNA
appincation) preferred
Experience with CRISPR-Cas9 editing preferred
Experience with antibody/immunology preferred but not necessary
Experience with design of experiment (DOE) and statistical
analysis preferred
Required Skills
Proficiency in a variety of molecular biology software programs
with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Previous experience with primer/probe design and statistical
tools for DOE preferred; Strong data analysis and experiment troubleshooting
skill
Good understanding of molecular biology methods for nucleic acid
analysis, such as hybridization, amplification, PCR, recombination etc.
Detailed oriented and Ability to multitask and maintain several
projects at one time.
Excellent laboratory skills
Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, dynamic team
environment,.
Ability to train others in basic laboratory techniques and
equipment operation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate with peers and all levels of management.
