这位教授是2011年被应聘为assistant professor in harvard。今年已经是第6年，仍
然是assistant professor。
我看了下他们学校的tenure handbook，上面说第4年是review for promotion to
associate。然后第5年是associate term begins。Harvard的associate professor是
没有tenure的，要在第7年被review for promotion to tenured professor，如果pass
了，第8年是final year of associate term or tenured professor.
那么这个教授为什么第6年还是AP。handbook上没写，如果没被promote to associate
，会怎么样。
我正考虑要不要去这个教授实验室工作（part-time research fellow，$30000 一年，
说根据以后的lab funding，我在实验室的表现，和我对实验技术的掌握会有成为full
time research fellow的机会）。

见过斯坦福快10年没评上换学校2年full professor的。。。

看这种节目就觉得悲哀，麦当劳连锁店式的，
除了语言不同，其他的，包括很多细节，比如幕后的两个伙计的举动，
都是如此的雷同而无新意。

谢谢。只有5年合同，那么第4年没评上，有R1（5年的）funding，是不是学校不能让AP
离校？

如果我去了她实验室。我也不知道她是什么时候换学校，也不知道换的学校是哪里的。
在斯坦福第4年没评上，还能在斯坦福待另外5年，那也不错。我以为是只有5年合同，
到deadline就要离校呢。

我每次看到XX got talent里面后台的伙计挤眉弄眼就觉得恶心。这么脑残的招数为什
么像个宝似的一用再用？

我见过十几年的assistant professor，而且还是在同一个学校十几年。
是一个没名气的医学中心。

是的，她的确有2个很小的孩子，可能是这期间生的。但是应该是第4年评估，就算延期
2年，今年也该出结果了。但是她现在有一个到2021年的R1.光有这个，我觉得学校都没
有道理让离校。

我们学校是每生一个娃，女的tc会推一年，男的半年。有个最高限。

医学院有些不一样，那些md教授很多都只做临床很少发文章，即使升不上去学校也不会
让他走因为人还可以继续看病人
