难道这才100多年过去，我们华裔们就忘了历史，忘了以前祖辈们在美国白人统治下吃
的苦头了？
19世纪初第一波华裔移民高潮中，到美国来修跨洲铁路，在加州金矿淘金的祖辈华裔移
民们不勤奋吗？结果他们等到的是什么？1882 年的 Chinese Exclusion Act （排华法
案）。
20世纪初留在美国的祖辈华裔们靠着洗衣房，餐馆等小手艺建立起了一个个中国城，他
们不勤奋吗？结果，1924年白人再通过了个 National Origin Act, 干脆把整个亚裔都
禁止移民了（by 1924, all Asian immigrants (except people from the
Philippines, which had been annexed by the United States in 1898) were
utterly excluded by law, denied citizenship and naturalization, and
prevented from marrying Caucasians or owning land）。National Origin of Act
1924, 还顺便限制了下东欧和南欧的白人移民（主要是针对犹太人）。
1943年，因为中国和美国是二战盟友了，才废除了排华法案，结果由于National
Origin Act，中国那时候一年的移民限额是105。
一直到1965年的， Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965，才开放了给所有其他
族裔的移民和归化通路。所以说，20世纪6，70年代的民权运动和自由主义思潮对我们
华裔的帮助是巨大的，没有这些运动，也就不会有80年代后的第二波华裔移民高潮。
1965年到现在50年还没到，我们华裔也就过了30年不到的移民好日子。艰苦的日子似乎
又在前面了，现在已经可以明显感觉到白人的右翼保守势力从新开始抬头了。而他们排
外攻击的最佳目标就是亚裔了，具体体现在，媒体上刻意突出亚裔人口最近几年的增长
速度是最快的，而亚裔的平均家庭收入也是最高的。而亚裔一直很少的绝对人数以及亚
裔移民家庭根本没有什么历史积累财富的事实被特意忽略了。白人的右翼电台主持折是
三天两头的感叹，美国梦没有了，现在大学生毕业都有5%找不到工作了，好的工作都被
over-qualified的外来移民抢走了。等等。
所以说，如果亚裔不能联合起来再争取个40-50年的公平竞争发展的环境，光指望勤奋
来改变亚裔的处境，根本就是放狗屁。至于低调勤奋什么的就更是放狗屁了，人家占绝
对优势的白人媒体把亚裔放到火山口上烤，亚裔如何能低调的下来？亚裔光捂着耳朵假
装没听见人家白人媒体说的，就算低调？
2012的大选事前说是经济第一，其实事后看看妇女，以及少数族裔的投票趋势，绝对是
social的考虑占了更大的比例。大选的结果不管其他方面怎么样，至少对白人右翼的打
击是极其严重的，实在的数据就是差不多300个million的superPAC投资打了水漂，然后
选后共和党的温和派开始准备从新夺权。短期看来，白人右翼想靠白人一族执政来控制
美国政坛是不可能了，希望这次能多带来亚裔10年的公平发展的机会吧。下次，如果
又到了这种危机时刻，也希望亚裔能再次联合起来，投下斗争的一票。
