i happened to read this book last summer too~~~
when i was reading it, sometimes in public, at least two ladies stopped and
told me how terrific the book was!
i remember two parts most:
1. when the three "?" approached the boy in market all together...funny
2. the smaller lettered account of the only survivor...hash, starking
truth...or is it another story that memory creates when memory wants something
else than truth?
