95后外交官：讲述在南苏丹的真实外交故事

We often visit construction sites wearing helmets, updating local situations in helicopters or reporting on the floods. Sometimes, we visit local schools and communicate with teachers and students or offer help at orphanages.

有时候我们要戴上头盔去项目现场坐直升飞机去地方跟进安全局势、去考察洪涝灾情，有时候我们也走进当地校园和师生们交流，甚至去孤儿院慰问。

In this turbulent region, our embassy is not large in scale. We often have to deal with a lot of work with too little manpower.

我们是一个艰苦战乱地区的小馆。任务多、人手紧张是我们工作的常态。

Here in South Sudan, “conflict”, “violence”, “armed forces” have become the most frequently used words in our everyday work. On Chinese New Year’s Eve, no fireworks could be heard or seen in Capital Juba, What flashed across the night sky were a few gunshots fired near the embassy.

到了南苏丹，冲突、暴力、武装，成了我们日常工作的高频词。除夕晚上，首都朱巴没有烟花没有爆竹，只有零星枪声在使馆周围划过夜空。

The two martyrs died at ages 33 and 22, They were my peers. When the memorial ceremony was held, the civil war has not yet ended, not a single flower could be bought in Juba. The then commander insisted that a bouquet of memorial be made, even if we had to pluck every wildflower in the camp.

两位烈士牺牲的时候，一位33岁，另外一位22岁，跟我差不多的年纪。告别他们的那一天，南苏丹内战还没有结束，整个朱巴买不到一束鲜花。当时的营长就说，哪怕拔光营地上所有的花草，也要为烈士做一束告别的花。

Despite this, my colleagues and I have chosen to stand firm at our grounds with zero regrets.

尽管如此，大家都选择了舍小家为大家，无怨无悔。
