马克龙结束访华后：我们不能做美国的“小跟班”

结束访华之旅，法国总统马克龙在飞机上表示：欧洲须减少对美国的依赖。

Europe must reduce its dependency on the United States and avoid getting dragged into a confrontation between China and the US over Taiwan, French President Emmanuel Macron said in the interview.

"The great risk" Europe faces is that it "gets caught up in crises that are not ours, which prevents it from building its strategic autonomy."

欧洲面临的巨大风险是“陷入了不属于我们的危机”，这使其“无法建立战略自主性”。

He also suggested Europe should reduce its dependence on the "extraterritoriality of the US dollar".

"The paradox would be that, overcome with panic, we believe we are just America's followers," Macron said in the interview. "The question Europeans need to answer … is it in our interest to accelerate (a crisis) on Taiwan?"

"No. The worse thing would be to think that we Europeans must become followers on this topic and take our cue from the US agenda," he said.
