Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering; or equivalent experience required
Good understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, or data analytics concepts.
Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java and C
Familiar with one or more machine learning or statistical modeling tools such as R, Matlab and scikit learn
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication, relationship skills and a team player
Ability to participate in a full-time internship between May-September

Pursuing or just finished a degree in ML, Computer Science or a related field. Graduate level candidates preferred, but the position is really open to any student or recent grad with the right interest and skillset. Candidate should be familiar with material covered in introductory courses on digital signal processing, linear algebra, statistics, and data structures.
Skills:
Able to develop in Python, TensorFlow and/or C/C++
Strong understanding of Machine Learning and DSP concepts
Familiar with standard version control practices
Familiarity with the following technologies is also preferred: TFLite, CoreML, Matlab, AWS, Git, Jupyter Notebooks.
Strong communication skills and comfortable with presenting analyses to a wider group (you will have the opportunity to present your work on a regular basis).
In addition to the qualifications below, you’ll need to submit a minimum of two reference letters for this position. Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or a related STEM field
Must have at least 2 years of experience with deep learning.
Must have at least 2 years of experience with networking.
Must have at least 1 year experience with reinforcement learning.
Interns are expected to be physically located in their manager’s Microsoft worksite location for the duration of their internship.
