“首相没有根植于英国文化”，历史学家抱怨英王加冕引发热议
5月6日，英国国王查尔斯三世举行加冕仪式（coronation），这是英国时隔70年再次举办加冕仪式。
近日，著名历史学家大卫·斯塔基（David Starkey）在接受GB新闻采访时声称，首相苏纳克没有完全根植于英国文化，且在加冕典礼计划中“隐身”，影响了政府的行动，使得政府对查尔斯国王加冕典礼缺乏应有的关注。
The historian David Starkey has claimed Rishi Sunak has not engaged with the coronation because he is "not fully grounded in our culture".

斯塔基还将矛头指向议会，称议会在加冕典礼中缺乏适宜的参与，其原因之一是政府对宪法不感兴趣，该典礼可能会突出分歧而非团结。
Starkey said, "I think one of the reasons that I think a lot has gone wrong, for example, why parliament has not been properly represented at the coronation of a parliamentary monarchy, is because the government isn’t interested in the constitution."
"And, again, this coronation is going to highlight far too much our differences rather than what unites us," he added.
英国首相苏纳克
据今年2月的报道，英国全国650名议员中大约只有80名议员受邀出席加冕典礼，这一数字远远少于1953年被邀请参加已故女王的加冕典礼的议员数量。这在议员中引起了轩然大波。
据悉，GB新闻在发布了斯塔基采访片段后，被指责为种族主义，随后又将其删除。
此前，斯塔基曾因一些言论涉嫌种族歧视而引起争议。
2020年，斯塔基曾发表言论称奴隶制不是种族灭绝，因为“许多黑人仍然得以幸存”。当时，他“毫无保留地”为他“令人遗憾的煽动性言论”造成的冒犯而道歉，称自己说话“非常笨拙”。
According to reports at the time Starkey apologised "unreservedly" for the offence his "deplorably inflammatory" words had caused, saying he had spoken "with awful clumsiness".
据《独立报》报道，面对这次的风波，斯塔基否认自己评价首相的言论是种族主义的，表示他想表达的是首相是一个“典型的国际自由主义者”，对英国的价值观不感兴趣。
再度登台GB新闻时，斯塔基声明自己的言论被“故意误解”，强调自己“一生中从未说过任何种族主义的话”。但他紧接着又抨击了苏纳克在美国的教育和职业生涯。斯塔基为自己的“严重错误”道歉，但坚称言论自由不应排除围绕种族的对话。
Dr Starkey returned to GB News to defend himself on Friday, claiming his remarks had been "wilfully misconstrued" and that he had "never ever, ever said anything racist in my life".
But he went on to attack Mr Sunak's education and career in the United States, which he said made him a member of a "highly technical elite".
Dr Starkey went on to apologise for his "bad mistake" but insisted freedom of speech should not exclude conversations around race.
在社交媒体上，有网友认为斯塔基的言论涉嫌种族歧视，有的人则表示他只是说出了真相。这段颇具争议的视频引发大量讨论。
“我不喜欢保守党或苏纳克，但是他的话具有冒犯性和种族歧视。为什么邀请这类粗鲁的人夸夸其谈呢？”
“大卫·斯塔基只是在说我们所有人在想的事情罢了。里希·苏纳克对我们的文化一无所知。所以他应该离开这儿。”
