货币兑换？警惕近期新骗局

一种新型诈骗正在悄然滋生，亟须警惕！

近日，哥伦比亚大学及美国各地的国际学生学者们频繁成为一些诈骗犯的目标。骗子们将2-5位不同学校和地区的学生学者们拉入群聊，要求将美元兑换成另一种货币（通常为人民币）。

Always be vigilant! Suspects have been using group chats to ask students to transfer money from USD to another currency (often RBM/CNY). Anywhere between 2-5 students across schools/locations can be included in these rising currency exchange schemes. If you believe you have been a victim, contact CU Public Safety 212-854-2797.

If you're leaving the U.S., make sure you have the documentation you will need when you return. The travel signature on your I-20/DS-2019 is valid for a year and must be unexpired on the day on which you plan to re-enter the U.S.

记得提交你的8843表格

美国税务局要求所有在2023年在美国停留过的持有F/J类签证的国际学生学者提交8843表格。如果你在2023年没有收入，8843表格是你唯一必须提交的表格，截止日期是2024年6月15日。

你可以前往链接了解更多信息，并通过ISSO官网登录Sprintax非居民税务软件，免费准备你的8843表格：

Remember IRS Requires Form 8843 from all Fs and Js who are nonresident aliens for federal tax purposes and were physically in the U.S. at any time in 2023.

If you didn't have income in 2023, your 8843 is the only form you are obligated to file, you can file your form by June 15, 2024.
