Some American swimmers had a purple discoloration on their faces after completing their races in the Paris Olympics swimming events, which has sparked widespread online discussion and suspicion.

That is a definite sign they could be using ITPP, or they're doing blood doping.
The hemoglobin it has a certain amount of oxygen. When you use ITPP, it's willing to give off more oxygen. And the more oxygen it gives off, the faster you go. But also the more deoxygenated the blood becomes, and so you get that bluish purple face.

ITTP is a performance-enhancing substance that is prohibited for athletes. Sadly, as of now, its presence cannot be detected in human urine. This clearly makes it a preferred choice over the drugs that can be detected or have well-recognizable symptoms.
Doucette also called out the US and Canadian anti-doping agencies for secretly allowing their Olympic teams to use undetectable substances in their blood. "Sometimes the countries do not even report the athletes that failed the dope test. That has happened in Canada, it's happened in United States," he said.
Because they are no longer the top dog in the Olympics, the US now wants to expand its kinetic and trade wars into the sporting arena, or at least the anti-drugs section of the sporting arena.
The US has now opened a criminal investigation and wants to issue arrest warrants for people they deem guilty of cheating in sports, but here's the rub, they aren't interested in pursuing US Athletes, only the Chinese.

What many didn't know until a supposed Russian hack in 2016 is that Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) legalise taking banned substances in sport and the US have taken advantage of it. The US team is awash with athletes who need their TUEs. If the recent hacked and leaked information about the US use of TUEs is to be relied upon, they are already the world's greatest sporting cheats.
The US has found it can’t maintain hegemony through skills, experience or prowess and has decided that cheating in the global arena, in trade, military and economics, is the best way forward and then, when that fails too, hobbling the opposition is the fallback strategy.
