We are looking for an early-in-career Data Engineer who is excited about redefining, reimagining, and contributing towards building a modern data & Analytics platform. We believe data engineering is about harnessing the power of data, built on solid foundation of software engineering, data modeling & architecture, devops skills & more. We recognize that you may have varied mix of skills, experiences & strengths, be it, big data, cloud data warehouse, stream processing or data modeling. We want to talk to you.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data and experience with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.

Basic Qualifications for the BIE Co-op role:
Currently enrolled in a Master’s in an analytically rigorous field (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering) or other equivalent discipline
Must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) co-op from January - June 2023
Experience building dashboards in Tableau, QuickSight or other relevant data visualization tool (Looker, PowerBI, Grafana, etc.)
Write high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze complex datasets
Basic understanding of Python, R or other relevant scripting language
Experience using quantitative methods to evaluate product/system/service performance
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across stakeholder groups
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS：
Understanding of ETL processes
Previous experience or interest in business intelligence, data engineering, system engineering or operations engineering
Knowledge of AWS (e.g Datalake, Athena, Sagemaker, S3, EC2, RDS)
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience with demonstrated impact to a project or business use case, a track record of creative problem solving, and the desire to create and build new processes
On track to graduate in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 with a Master’s or Ph.D. in computer science, industrial engineering, statistics, industrial-organizational psychology, neurology, public policy, linguistics, or another quantitative field
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong previous experience with Python or R and demonstrated experience building production grade machine learning models
Able to work in a collaborative environment with a desire to share your ideas
Able to work independently and complete tasks with high quality, but unafraid to seek out suggestions from other team members?
BS in CS, MIS, related technical degree
Interest in pursuing a career as a Data Analyst/Data Engineer/BI Developer
Hands-on SQL experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with building reports and visualizations to represent data intuitively in Tableau or similar data visualization tools
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with technical and non-technical teams
Experience with ETL processes, software development, and lifecycle awareness, using Python, Java, and Snowflake
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
0-1 year with relevant data analyst, business analyst, and/or data warehousing experience.
0-1 year hands-on IT data management experience.
Passionate about understanding data and its relevance to business decisions.
Ability to operate in a fast paced environment supporting a rapidly growing business
An interest in building and operating critical data warehouses, marts and lakes
Working in teams that are mission critical
Demonstrated self starter skills, taking initiative when the opportunity presents itself
