Bachelor's Degree. While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
Relevant Work Experience: 0-2 Years
Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Completes programming and implements, tests and debugs defined software components.
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering with emphasis on software development experience
The ideal candidate should possess good general software programming skills. Experience on both Windows and Linux platforms is desired.
Highly motivated and productive.
Strong technical writing and code documentation skills.
The candidate will be required to interact with technical peers / management personnel and must be capable of working with general direction and supervision.
Experience with Python a plus
Interest in data analytics also a plus
Basic Qualifications:
Working towards a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or other related fields.
Ability to communicate and collaborate among cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt on the job and be productive with a reasonably short span of time.
Solid fundamentals of object oriented programming and design patterns.
Experience developing Java based web services using RESTful APIs
Experience developing web user interface, with Angular, AJAX, HTML5, and JavaScript or a related language.
Knowledge of data modeling and writing SQL queries using relational databases.
Experience working on various OS platforms (LINUX/UNIX/Windows).
Preferred Qualifications:
Skills in scripting languages such as Shell-script, Perl, Python.
Knowledge of C, C++ would be beneficial.
Knowledge and experience with containers and/or virtualization.
Experience in Agile development methodologies and test driven development.
Exposure to test tools and framework such as Junit, Jasmine, Karma, Gulp, Grunt and Protractor.
Working knowledge of using or interacting with standard CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Spinnaker, SonarQube).
Knowledge of Microservices architecture design pattern a plus.
