朝天子·詠喇叭
喇叭，嗩吶，曲兒小腔兒大。
官船來往亂如麻，全仗你抬聲價。
軍聽了軍愁，民聽了民怕。
那裏去辨甚麼真共假？
眼見的吹翻了這家，吹傷了那家，
只吹的水盡鵝飛罷！
To Son of Heaven – Satire of Suonas
Suonas, trumpets, short you tune, loud you blow,
On rivers Ships of Yamen on the go，
It’s your loudness that helps them to and fro.
Soldiers sigh, folks shiver, as you blow long,
Where and how could they differ right from wrong?
This one you upturn, that one you hound on,
You blow and blow, waters dried, all geese gone!
