请教下各位大神，小弟拿到一个UCSF的博后offer，税前5w。有LD，LD不工作，无子女
。请问税后大概能拿到多少？谢谢！看了下湾区房租，基本都是2200+感觉不太租的起
。

如果老板不是大牛啥的，换地方吧。S 都比ucsf 好。

H1税后2800，可以考虑住远些。J1会好很多。税少老婆能工作。

as long as you can find a low rent apartment, your living cost is cheaper
than states like texas. You have no need of air conditioning and heater if
you plan your vacations two weeks for the hotest weeks and two weeks
vactions for coldest days. Food cost is much lower than any other states.
The cost disavantage is housing.

Also you probably qualify for low income housing of SF city. Some graduate
students also qualify for foodstamps but I am not sure whether $50000 is
already over the line.
