看不出语法结构来,也不知道是什么意思

"and talking about" is wrong. It should be "and talk about."

果然错了，blush...
赶快改一下：
...，而将小说和故事主要用做意识形态的工具则很大程度上削弱了了小说创作的本意。
尽管小说的确是源于政治氛围,但作者却没有使用意识形态来回应这种氛围, 而是将小
说和故事主要作为虚构的回避意识形态的工具.

两个结构： to... 和 talking... 都是react的宾语... 这是我的理解。

翻译的很花，可惜理解是错的
我前面说过了，这应该是两句句子
第一句的意思是虽然小说源自政治，小说作者们却用非意识形态的方式来回应政治
第二句的意思是（因此，）把小说当作一种意识形态的工具，是对小说本质的回避
大致就是这个意思
最烦这种句子，翻成中文我自己都读不懂

受这个网站讨论的启发,我觉得可以这样翻译:
"虽然小说的创作肯定有其政治背景，然而其作者使用了有别于意识形态的笔法触及到
这些政治背景。把小说理解成为意识形态服务的工具的做法无疑大大妨碍小说的创作构
思。"
像jazzcat说的,这是两个句子,第二个句子是动名词talking about...as...做主语.然
后关于enterprise,字典里有这么个意思"the ability to think of new activities
or ideas and make them work",这样看来fictional enterprise翻译成"创作构思"也
还说得过去.
不知道我的理解对不对.
