如果你的问题是接着前一个问题的，那么答案是不行。你不能假定运行在浏览器上的java
applet有打开本地程序的权限。

如果你的问题是接着前一个问题的，那么答案是不行。你不能假定运行在浏览器上的java
Well the servlet that serves the image can send the image as an attachment,
which will force the client OS to pop up and ask user to "Open" or "Save".
When the user chooses to "Open" the image, it'll be opened in the default
editor (which isn't guaranteed to be MS Paint though).

技术上当然可以，技术上java甚至可以直接保存图片，打开本地程序编辑。
但是做一个Web应用的时候, 怎么能假定客户端默认打开图片的程序就是期望的MS Paint
呢？
这和前面说到的一样。Java可以执行任何命令，包括打开一个桌面程序，只要你假定命令
有效，java有权限。
