情况如下：
2003年12月因为APARTMENT(以下间称A)管理混乱，我搬离。2004年2月我接到一个
COLLECTING COMPANY (讨债公司，以下简称C)通知，他代表A要求我付清2003年11月
的LATE PAYMENT FEE $96，和手续费$50。莫名其妙，我从来都是按时缴房租，急
忙与A和C沟通多次，不得结果。A当时管理混乱，半年内换了3个MANAGER，要求的维
修也没有答复。每次缴支票只能放到一个CHECK BOX里。一年半里，被C催讨多次，
身心疲惫，但总感到IT IS NOT MY FAULT。我手中只有支票存根日期(支票复写纸)，
也没有其他直接人证物证。今早，还在睡梦(9：00PM)，便被C的电话吵醒。C说是最
后通牒，星期一要请LAWER，准备上法庭。两个月前，C提出一个条件，只付手续费
$50便可，被我否决。不知是否这次又是一次恐吓。上法庭也无所畏惧，只是没有任
何经验。不知那位有相似经历，请告知，感激不尽，只想让这段恶梦鬼影赶快消失。

Check your credit report first. The CA might have already reported your
delinquency to the credit bureaus, which could haunt your credit for years.
Go to the discussion board at creditnet.com, where you can find some handy
advices fighting CAs. At least you can stop them from telephoning you.
If there is no impact on your credit so far, you may also want to consider
paying
up to save the trouble. Is $50 really worth it? "IT IS NOT MY FAULT" won't get
you far if the case ends up in court.

十分感谢宝贵建议，我又找了一些相关信息。只当COLLECTING COMPANY 是些纸老虎。
准备一些资料，实在要上法庭，便舍命相陪。另外一个问题，如何查询自己的CREDIT？
