Did you file a complaint to the IL state bar or the state attorney discipline
governing body?
If he has provided a fax, fax your previous letter and your complaint to him. Don't focus on the contract, but on his unethical practice of law and fee collection practice.

不过我可以推荐我太太的律师 - 黄正东律师。他水平很高，而且他的助手也很认真。我太太的绿卡能顺利办成和他们的细心工作很有关系。不像某些律师，他从来没把自己牛校博士毕业挂在嘴头，也没把耶鲁大名镶到戒指上。

我还没去投诉他呢。他的来信把我吓着了。

1) you will lose eventually in court because judge will not rewrite the
contract for your advantage.
2) if I were you , I would call them, email them, write to them and ask them
to cut the debt in half for
settlment; your best chance is to bite several hundred dollars back, do not
expect more.
