unsigned int_8 a; //8bit unsigned integer signed int_16 b; //16bit signed integer a=0xFF; b=a; What's the value of b? The question is, which happens first, unsigned-> signed or 8bit->16bit?

My friend's husband just died unexpectly recently and my friend is just house wife and doesn't work. So there are no income and also she has a 4 month old baby... She is looking for help regarding three legal issues...she would greatly appreciate if someone here can give her some advise here.. first - about house. since her husband took loan and pay mortgage. Now she can't pay mortgage, will she be evicted from house immediately? if so, how long she can stay as a grace period before find apartment? Second - her husband bought a life insurance before their marriage. There are no any beneficiary stated in the policy. So will she get part of insurance benefit at least for their baby or it will pay to her parent in law.. Third - She got her conditional green card and it is still less than 2 year. . how can she get real green card since now her husband die. Is her status legally here? She thought her life is helpless and I try to help and at least get some assurance for her not to over worry. Thank you and any help would be great appreciated.
This is the rule: int -> unsigned int -> long -> unsigned long -> long long -> unsigned long long -> float -> double -> long double
