一共26幅“丑娃娃”照片：“The dolls are positioned between large stacks
of books, wrapped in plastic, and lying on planks against a bright sky,
among other tableaux.”去年秋天在法国展览，纽约是唯一在美国的展览，之后移往
西班牙。
这是主办方哥伦比亚大学对刘霞的介绍：“Born in 1959 in Beijing, Liu Xia is a
poet, painter and photographer, and the wife of 2010 Nobel Peace Prize
Winner Liu Xiaobo. She has been a noteworthy figure on the contemporary
Chinese art scene for more than three decades. Her work in various media
focuses on freedom of expression rooted in traditional values and styles.”
去年美国之音对刘霞在法国展览的报道：“比杨古市立博物馆馆长和汉学家索尔曼说，
这些怪模怪样的娃娃确实代表了很多中国人。他们生活在政府打压之下，没有言论自由
。即使当被裹得严严实实、或者被摆弄出很难受的姿势时，他们都一声不吭。有一张很
有意思的作品是，一个小丑娃被一大堆中国古典书籍压扁了。在中国知识分子中，一直
有这样一种观点，那就是这种压迫感不仅来自现政权，而且也所谓的悠久的传统文化。”
报道里还有个视频，有些照片，看着是挺碜的，都很挤压，想起鲁迅说的“救救孩子…
